Overview

If you’re working towards your White Water Leader and want to develop your skills then this optional training course is the one for you.

This course is all about meeting your development needs. We’ll look at the leadership and rescue skills required to lead groups of white water kayaks (and potentially also OC1s or sit-on-tops) on journeys on grade 2(3) rivers. We’ll also help you to develop your own paddling skills.

We’ll make sure you’ll leave the course with a detailed picture of the assessment standard, a development plan to get you to that level and a firm grasp of what the assessment should involve.
