PIEPS AND GLENMORE LODGE LAUNCH NEW PARTNERSHIP
Pieps and Glenmore Lodge, sportscotland’s National Outdoor Training Centre, have announced a new partnership. From Winter 2021, Pieps will be the Official Avalanche Safety Equipment Partner for Glenmore Lodge, equipping Instructors with transceiver, shovel and probes, as well as providing access to equipment for students attending winter training courses.
Glenmore Lodge runs an avalanche education programme each winter. Climbers, Hillwalkers, Skiers and Mountaineers attending a Glenmore Lodge course all receive training in the use of avalanche safety equipment.

The Scottish winters bring unpredictable and rapidly changing snow conditions and avalanche activity, reflecting the importance of avalanche awareness for all mountain users. The National centre is also home to the Scottish Avalanche Information Service, also funded and delivered by sportscotland.
