En-suite bedrooms from £60pn. Book your course and then call us to book your accommodation
Find Out MoreThis group will be looking to spend one day on a mellow grade 1-2 river and the other on sheltered open water. We’ll look at fundamental paddling skills such as posture and where we choose to sit or kneel and how that transfers between the loch and the river… or just enjoy being out and about in the different environments that Scotland has to offer.
Alongside your daytime paddling, there’ll be evening drop-in workshops, after-dinner talks, evening shenanigans from our friends at Hou Canoes, the Lochain Bar and a room full of musical instruments if anyone fancies a folk session.
You must also book your accommodation by selecting the accommodation option on the previous event page. Please note that any bookings made without accommodation will be contacted by our Bookings team in due course.
To join this group you’ll have some experience of paddling on open water and some experience of moving water. Likely venues include the river Spey and Loch Morlich, Loch Insh, or Loch Pityoulish
The details are very much up to you, your volunteer coach, and the weather.
You could choose to look at position in the boat, trim, choice of paddle side, or simply enjoy a relaxed paddle on a Scottish loch or river.
