Overview

Trail Plus is aimed squarely at those out regularly on a mountain bike. You will already be riding some techy trails but are looking to progress your skills and gain the confidence to ride harder trails. Dealing with drops, finding grip, getting air, railing corners and cleaning techy climbs will all be on the agenda. You will not only develop new skills but you’ll have time to develop them in many new environments, from steep slippery forests to burly big mountain trails. 5 days is definitely better than 2, providing us the time to learn and develop in such varied terrain and with time to consolidate and improve. This is also ideal for you if you are working through the BMBLA Leadership scheme and will help coach you to the level needed for the Level 3 award.

DETAILED INFO

AIMS

This 5 day skills course will have you riding more fluidly, more competently and with more style – guaranteed!

Gain control in terrain where you currently struggle.

Improve performance on easier trails to give you more speed and control.

PRE-REQUISITES

You will be a regular mountain biker confident in red grade terrain, able to deal with rollable drops; small berms; roots; rocks and have the fitness for spending the majority of the 5 days out on the bike in steeper terrain.

IS IT FOR ME?

Trail Plus moves your biking forward to steeper and more challenging riding. It is delivered on a maximum coach: student ratio of 1:4 ensuring you get space for individual tuition and plenty of practice time. This course will venture into more challenging terrain and progress your riding towards tackling bigger drops; styling steeper terrain and giving you grip where you had none.

The ratio of tutor to students is max 1:4 throughout the 5 days, which allows time and space for individual tuition and plenty of practice and the ability to tailor the tuition around your needs.

We will use both our onsite coaching trails as well as venturing out into the world class arena of the Cairngorms to not only improve your riding but also show off some of the best trails anywhere.

Trail Plus will hit the following:

  • Dynamic balance
  • Railing corners
  • Braking for pros
  • Maximise your manuals
