Overview

Do you want to be a proper cycle mechanic? This course will get you started with great detail, great workshop practices and an industry standard level of knowledge. The two days work in a clearly structured way looking at the various systems on bikes. There is a relaxed tone to the process building to an assessment task on the second day and a multiple choice question paper to complete the accreditation process. If successful you will be accredited to identify, inspect and adjust many key component systems on common cycles from MTB to Road. It builds on the knowledge and process of undertaking a Pre-delivery Inspection of the bikes – as detailed in the Bronze level award.

USEFUL INFORMATION

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

We have a purpose built teaching workshop ready for your course. This is equipped with all that is needed to facilitate all aspects of the syllabus. We can also supply all PPE for you including workshop aprons, gloves and barrier cream.

We also supply all consumables needed to coach and assess you through the process. However, we do not carry a stock of components with which to service your own bike. We aim to work on bikes supplied by us. These bikes will enable us to work through all the key principles and systems required. For Velotech Gold/Platinum it may be interesting to bring along a bike with any unusual components on it for the purposes of discussion (this is NOT essential)
