This award is the natural step up from Silver Velotech and looks at solving common issues on bikes that often lead to removal and replacing components and systems. The successful candidate will then be accredited to identify, adjust and replace many common components and systems found on bikes. They will also be able to true wheels and problem solve common issues found with wheels. It builds on the knowledge and process of both Silver and Bronze award levels. To enjoy the two days and also be successful it is really important to be comfortable and practised with all aspects of these awards.

To attend you will need to be:

At least 16 years old

And have completed Velotech Silver at least a month prior

We have a purpose built teaching workshop ready for your course. This is equipped with all that is needed to facilitate all aspects of the syllabus. We can also supply all PPE for you including workshop aprons, gloves and barrier cream. We also supply all consumables needed to coach and assess you through the process. However, we do not carry a stock of components with which to service your own bike. We aim to work on bikes supplied by us. These bikes will enable us to work through all the key principles and systems required. For Velotech Gold/Platinum it may be interesting to bring along a bike with any unusual components on it for the purposes of discussion (this is NOT essential)
