Glenmore Lodge plays a role in supporting the delivery of safety and training courses for professional organisations

Scottish Mountain Rescue

We work with Scottish Mountain Rescue by providing a venue and supporting the delivery of safety and training courses for SMR volunteers. Glenmore Lodge hosts the annual National Training Conference, as well as Cas Care, Foundation & Advanced rigging, and Avalanche companion rescue training courses.

Bristow SAR

Glenmore Lodge instructors deliver training for those operating Bristow Search & Rescue helicopters. This training includes avalanche awareness and highly specialised rope cutting courses which are delivered to staff at Bristow bases around the UK. Bristow staff also come to Glenmore Lodge for winter skills and safety courses that equip them to operate safely while on mountain terrain in winter conditions.

SSE

Our instructors deliver training for SSE Renewables staff, for whom visiting remote areas can be a regular part of their job, to provide them with the skills and knowledge to conduct their work safely in challenging weather conditions. These courses are delivered both here at Glenmore Lodge and in Perthshire.
