This is an ideal one-day activity if you want to spend a fun day outside exploring a local loch by open canoe. The main aim of the day is simply to have fun and potentially inspire you to pursue more open canoeing adventures in the future!

Open Canoeing offers a fun way to explore the outdoors. Enjoy a one-day open canoeing experience on a beautiful local loch with views of the mountains. This is sure to be a highlight of your summer holidays in the Cairngorms!
We’ll start the day at Glenmore Lodge, where you’ll meet our friendly and highly experienced Instructors. They’ll get to know the group and find out about everyone’s experience and goals for the day, before taking you out to explore a scenic local loch.
You’ll have a memorable day of canoeing, before heading back to Glenmore Lodge by 17.00

WHAT WILL I NEED
All the paddling gear (including boat, buoyancy aid, etc.) will be provided by us, all you need to bring along with you is the following:
- Suitable clothing that enables you to move comfortably
- Warm fleece
- Insulated jacket **
- Suitable footwear
- Water bottle
- Packed lunch & food for the day
- 30 litre capacity (approx.) day pack **
- Sun cream
- Midge repellent
Items marked ** are available to borrow from our Stores and are included in the cost for the day, so don’t worry if you’ve forgotten to bring something!
