Is It For Me?

This is a one day course for anyone who rides a bike and would like to learn to deal with common mechanical faults that can occur whilst out riding. This course is also ideal for aspiring UKMBLS L2 leaders needing to develop their skillset to the standard required for this award.

The course is suitable for anybody with a MTB, Touring bike, Road bike or Cyclo-cross bike.

This course does not qualify you to work on or maintain bikes – just look after your own.

Course Aims

We aim to cover basic trailside repairs, using tools and equipment easily carried during everyday riding.

  • Broken Chain
  • Over-shifting Chain
  • Badly-shifting (or Jumping) Gears

What Will I Need?

It is well worth coming along with your own bike and any trail tools that you already own. This is not essential but will really help your learning.

We have a limited range on offer and may not be able to supply a bike for you. If you cannot bring your own bike for the course then please get in touch asap so that we can work with you to find the perfect solution.
