Rolling Pool

A 7m x 4m pool, used mainly for practicing your kayak & / or canoe rolling.

The pool is available for groups or clubs to hire, as long as you are accompanied by a British Canoeing Level 1 Coach or higher OR Leadership qualification (Paddlesport, Moderate or Advanced) Group leaders must take full responsibility for the supervision, safety, welfare and behaviour of those in the group and ensure that the pool and equipment are used in appropriate manner.

Bringing your own boats into the pool is an option. If taking this option then please:

  • Ensure the boat is rinsed thoroughly – hose available by canoe shed or transit bay
  • Ensure that the boats are removed at the end of the session.

The pool is a bit small for swimming but if you’re staying over then it’s ideal for relaxing those hard worked muscles at the end of the day.

The pool may be used for swimming by residents, so long as there are at least 2 people in the pool at any time, and one person must be over 18. Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

The pool is open to residents and non-residents, opening times are from 9am – 10pm

Non-Residents – the price per hour for hire of the pool is £28. Groups are welcome to hire the rolling pool for training sessions.
