SCOTT Sports - No Shortcuts

Glenmore Lodge is your one-stop shop for Mountain Biking Courses in 2015

Whether its your first off-road experience or you are looking to hone some specific skills; whether you are looking to gain qualifications to lead others or just benchmark your own skill levels, we have a course for you. Back this up with industry recognised maintenance and mechanics qualifications, outdoor first aid courses and great all-inclusive accomodation and you can see that Glenmore Lodge is your one-stop shop for biking in 2015.

The Cairngorms National Park has to be one of the best places in the world to go cycling and Glenmore Lodge is based at its heart. Over the years our instructors have biked all over the world both on and off road but they always return home to ride in Scotland and in particular here in the Cairngorms. From beautiful and easy forest trails through to some of the best single track the world has to offer, we have everything on our doorstep. This is all backed up by some of the most enthusiastic and commited riders and instructors to guide and coach you through your biking adventures.

We have been running biking courses for over 10 years and through listening to our customers we have developed a programme of courses that we believe meet all of your requirements. Over that time we have constructed our own skills loop in the grounds, built our own pump track and ridden thousands of kilometres of trail, just so we can create the perfect collection of courses to improve, inspire and build confidence in your riding – all in the company of experienced, knowledgable and approachable guides and instructors.

Mountain Biking Equipment

We are supported at Glenmore Lodge with great links to a variety of the best brands in cycle sport. The instructors ride SCOTT Bikes, and we have a fleet of hard tails for students are our stores and instructors are supplied with SCOTT helmets and clothing.

For all our bike courses we recommend you come along with your own bike, clothing and equipment. However, we have a limited store of the essentials should you need them.

Check out the individual courses for more information.

Mountain Biking Reviews

Following our assessment, the other candidates and I remarked that we felt as though our day had been both rigorous and fair. Al led our day with a great balance of information, questioning and humour. I always come away from Glenmore feeling as though I knew far more than when I arrived, but that I also have so much more to learn!

So in summary, the course itself was fantastic. Far more in-depth than other equivalent courses that have been run in other centres; Al was a fountain of knowledge and we all felt safe and able to learn under his guidance; the accommodation is modern, clean and very reasonably priced.

My final point would be that the home-baking continues to be exquisite, and a reason to revisit in itself!

Thank you again.

My twin teenagers had the best time. They said that they could not find fault in any part of the 5 days and are more competent and confident mountain bikers.
