Course Overview
Syllabus: This five -day course will look at the practical coaching of paddlesport in canoe and kayak, as well as the foundation module “coaching young people” which is a pre-requirement for assessment.

The cost includes full board, accommodation, use of specialist equipment, course transport and instruction. Exceptions to this include international courses and a small number of one day or specialist courses. Please check the course notes below for details.

Pre-requisites
· BCU Registration evidence – Your Original Stamped ‘CR’ Form.
· BCU/SCA/CANI/WCA comprehensive (full) membership.
· BCU UKCC Level 1 Certificate or hold the old scheme BCU Level 2 trainee or above, or APL evidence arranged through the BCU.
· 2 Star in Canoe and Kayak and BCU 3 Star certificate in any discipline for Boat Based candidates.
· Foundation Safety and Rescue or Canoe Safety Test (if achieved prior to 01/01/09)
