Course Overview

This is the first level of the new scheme and the gateway to the rest of the levels. It is aimed at those new to coaching and who will work as a coach under supervision.Funding may be available for this course from sportscotland through the SCA see link for more information http://www.canoescotland.com/Default.aspx?tabid=643 This 5 day generic course in all craft will cover everything required to become an assistant coach. The optional first day will be the BCU Foundation Safety & Rescue Course that is a pre-requirement for training, the next 3 days will practically look at how to introduce paddlesport and the fifth day will be a final assessment to qualify you as a UKCC BCU Level 1 Assistant Coach.

Duration & Cost

Five Days at £460.00

The cost includes full board, accommodation, use of specialist equipment, course transport and instruction. Exceptions to this include international courses and a small number of one day or specialist courses. Please check the course notes below for details.
