Canyoning

Canyoning is a relatively new sport in the UK. It involves travelling down a watercourse, usually cut into bedrock and involves a mixture of climbing, walking, scrambling, jumping, abseiling and swimming. Scotland has some fantastic canyons in some incredible locations with many more still waiting to be discovered. The wide variety of canyoning routes in Scotland offer a huge range of technical challenges suitable for people of all ages and skill levels.

Throughout its history Glenmore Lodge has worked with governing bodies and associations to develop new sports, particularly the qualifications that help ensure the safety and high quality of instruction within them. In 2013 we are pleased to work with the recently formed UK Canyoning Guides Association.

"Surpassed expectations - an excellent course. I liked how flexible the course was and how it was adapted to our level."
