What a cracker of a day. Dave Macleod, Lucy Creamer and Jon Jones all deliverd workshops and got their students warmed up to enter the competition.
Scott Muir won the men by being the only man to do all the problems nearly clean. The rest of us mortals had a great time trying. Nicky Diggins won the veteran ladies and there was joint winners for the women with Anna Carrie and Lucy. There should have been a family prize for the Addisons, Dad, Jimmy won the vet men and Steve and Nikki came first and second in the juniors. What a team!
There were about 70 there for Dave's lecture in the end which finished with us all going to the bar for lots of prizes donated by our sponosrs Scarpa, Lyon Equipment, Tios and Marmot. A few beverages were also in order to celebrate the beginning of our 60th year events with such a success.
We saw a few slackers on the slack line and some brilliant attempts at pull-ups. Top score on that was 16 - apart from Dave, who didn't count as he did 26 and wasn't feeling well!
Thanks to all of you for coming along and making it a great day.
Big thanks to the Lodge team, especially Phil and Jon for setting the comp, Matt for using his own BBQ and Frosty for making our very well crafted fire barasier...very cool!
